I am sorry to learn the sad news about the demise of Prof. C. S. Inamdar.
Recently we had called him to inform him that the new building is now ready and functional, we are getting the electric meter now and because of the workshop to be held next week we have to use the audio-visual hall, and so we are now organising Ganesh-Pujan. But then at that time we learnt that he was in the hospital. So this information could not be given to him. Today Ganesh Pujan was performed at the Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana in the library hall at the hands of Prof. Gopala Krishnan, Director. Soon after the programme was over, we learnt that Prof. Inamdar had expired due to cardiac arrest. In fact he was talking to his friend for an hour and a half and at the time of saying good-bye he had a sudden attack. This was unexpected, as he was actually recovering as per the previous news, and thus it was a shock to all nears and dears.
Prof. Inamdar worked for many years as Head, Dept. of Mathematicss at Fergusson College. He was also invited to give lectures for post-graduate students at the University of Pune and he was successul as a PG teacher also. Apart from this since the inception of Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana , Pune in 1976, he was associated to Pratishthana in many capacities, as trustee, Deputy Director and Custodian. He supported the activities of the Pratishthana even after his retirement up to the end as Custodian. The Library Building was his dream, which is now complete. He helped the Institute especially in its bad days, and later also he was instrumental in its development as a Research Institution.
May the almighty give courage to his bereaved family to overcome sorrow. May his soul rest in peace.

I am very sorry to learn about the demise of Prof C.S. Inamdar. I had met him a few times in BP. He steered the institute through difficult times after the departure of Prof Abhyankar. That is a significant achievement and we shd all be grateful to him for that. I recd Manjusha’s message late in the evening and also dont know his residence, so I couldn’t visit the place last night. May his soul rest in peace.
